When you do things from your soul you feel a river move through your soul, a joy. Rumi.

Goa has been certainly an eye opener. Very Happy Days In Goa is all that I can report..

It is really not what I had expected and as much as we make plans in life this trip has certainly made me more flexible (haha both physically & mentally!) In some ways I’m learning the more that I open up my body with yoga the more open and easier things just flow..

Opportunities just pop up, brief discussions with the lads that they wanted to do a bit of yoga – I just said I could teach them so from very small beginnings about a week after leaving the Ashram and completing my first teacher training course I had a two students – David – my first yoga teacher & Niall his friend. A venue was sorted when we Niall thankfully donated his sitting room! All organised my first class an opportunity to practise what I had learn’t. At the same time I found a new teacher for myself a charismatic yoga Indian teacher who some times I refer to a Kranky Kranti. I started my practise with him & within ten minutes of Ashtanga I was hooked again! I’ve started a teacher training course with Kranti which has started this week and is in some ways much more intense as there are only two of us who are learning, practising & teaching 6 days a week.

So most of my friends have left L including my eager & dedicated yoga students, luckily Kranti has given me the opportunity to move my class to his Shala every morning from 8am until 9am.

This is an amazing experience since it’s right in the heart of the tourist area and there are lots of people wanting to try yoga – so I had to get my little marketing head out (I thought I had given it a break) and make poster to promote my class. Everyday I have a few students I don’t mind they are from all different backgrounds and levels so it’s a real challenge every day, not knowing who, how many and what level experience my students are going to be!

What had started out as a few days at the beach for Christmas & New Years has evolved to have a busy schedule,  settling into my little pink house until the end of February basically until my visa expires from here, teaching a beginners yoga class  8am – 9am, 9am- 11am I have my own practise class – I have a break for food, rest get a few jobs done then back to Yoga from 2.30-6pm, just in time to maybe swim & enjoy sunset!

Until the next update…. yogically yours, P xxxxx
